Chris serves as senior counsel and managing director of Employers Health Solutions. He actively counsels plan sponsors in the area of employee benefits design and contracting.
Chris served as an advisor to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for Part D pharmacy implementation during his tenure as a member of the Booz Allen Hamilton consulting team. These activities resulted from the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003. He previously served on the faculty of the College for Advanced Management of Health Benefits, affiliated with Thomas Jefferson Medical College's department of health policy, where he taught the pharmacy benefits management track. Currently, Chris serves as co-director of the health law program and also as an adjunct professor of law at The University of Akron School of Law where he teaches health law and covers such topics as the ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, antitrust, mergers and acquisitions, tax-exempt health care organizations and managed care.
In his role as assistant general counsel at EHS, Garrett manages the technical aspects of consulting engagements. He has experience working with a variety of plan sponsors and routinely manages projects that include developing a multi-year strategic benefits plan, benchmarking, medical RFP, pharmacy RFP, dental RFP, life and disability RFP, benefits administration services RFP, consulting and actuarial services RFP, medical audit services RFP, pharmacy audit services RFP and stop-loss procurement. Garrett also provides value by managing compliance and contract-related matters throughout an engagement.
He completed his Juris Doctor at The University of Akron School of Law. Prior to joining Employers Health, Garrett obtained a Bachelor of Arts in pharmaceutical business economics and a minor in finance from Ohio Northern University.
As director of pharmacy, Matt is primarily responsible for monitoring and evaluating the pharmacy plan performance of client organizations that vendor management of PBMs. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky where he co-founded an Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy student chapter and served as the inaugural president. While obtaining his PharmD, he enrolled in the College of Public Health to obtain a Master of Public Health with a concentration in health service management. Matt completed his residency training at The Ohio State University Health Plan, which expanded his knowledge and skills in managed care pharmacy.
Bryce provides support and expertise on consulting projects, vendor management, compliance and contract-related matters. Prior to joining Employers Health, Bryce obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Ohio State University. After graduating from OSU, Bryce worked for CVS Health as a pharmacy technician and inventory manager.
He completed his Juris Doctor at The University of Akron School of Law and previously clerked for several law firms focusing on health care law.
As the team's data analytics executive, Lori Lopez supports client interests relative to data analysis and strategies that drive positive benefit utilization and outcomes.
Lori earned an MBA from the Max M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in biological science and public policy studies from Vanderbilt University.
